Summer Makeup is a challenge!

Personally i find (most of the time) that during the warmer months a full covarage foundation like the one you use in winter paired with a concealr and powder plus all of the accomanying aspects like eye make up is FAR to heavy.
I have oily/combination and blemish affected skin (perfect (; ) so i find during the summer I'm still in need of coverage whilst not feeling like I have grease plastered on my face.

This summer I'm planning on trying the No7 bb cream which you can find in Boots stores and online. However, before trying that out I'm sticking to my usual go to beauty base for summer. The No7 tinted moisturiser gives a fantastic colour whilst letting your skin breath. I find the perfect way to apply this is to apply concealer first on any major discolouration and then smooth the product on like you would a normal moisturiser.I follow this up with a sweep of powder over my T zone and I'm good to continue on my summer adventures.

Another tinted moisturiser I like to use when my skin is a little darker is by The Body Shop. However this one doesn't contain any SPF which in essential in providing protection against early signs of ageing and is perfect for combating pigmentation issues.

Have a safe and fun start to your summer :)

What do I wear to uni?

As you all know I'm a student at university and now that the weather is finally starting to warm up (at last England) I've come across a big issue. What do I wear during a full day in uni where I could be doing anything from rushing to the shops to spending hours on end in a stuffy over cramped television studio.

I'm not one to follow all of the latest trends (I'm a student and spend money on food) however I think a lot of the upcoming trends could be a great way of getting the comfort and style I need.
The pastel colour trend is perfect for me because I can have a few staple items, such as a pink vest top and mint green jeans which are both comfortable and VERY versatile. This isn't a "look at me" trend so I know I'll be professional and comfortable enough for anything that pops up during my day.

Check this out for a simple yet fabulous day time outfit for the an unpredictable day:
Add a chunky cardigan (check charity shops) and your good to go no matter how unpredictable your day and the weather insists on being.

If your daring and fancy a colour pop try adding a bright accessory such as these heels from Office (above). Or for the more sensible day time look try these flats, both from New Look and at under £10 each you can't complain.

What do you love?

Here's what my bed begins to look like once I start work on an assignment I have three days to complete (which I should have started months ago).
I'm actually really enjoying this assignment, It's to do with an audience examination of reactions to excessive representations in one of my favourite television shows. (Sounds confusing I know BUT) I'm surprisingly enjoying writing it because I get to research a show which I enjoy. So I guess all of the people moaning about how hard this assignment is are people who have picked topics which seem (to them) boring.
I LOVE writing so to write about a television show I love is a bonus. I guess this big ramble about my uni work is actually a way of saying, I'm having a good time at the moment (besides the crazy workload).
So...

Neglected treasures?

So, I have a little story to tell. These shoes have been sitting under my bed since Christmas, unloved and rejected. When I tell you where these are from and how much they cost, some of you may feel a little giddy and not because of the usual reasons.

These shoes were not from Christian Louboutin or Louis Vuttion (I wish) they're from Tesco. YES, that place you do your weekly shopping, and not only that but they were £1.

So there lies my dilemma. I bought these shoes from Tesco in a sale in which they were a stupid price which meant i didn't really think about if I liked them, I just picked them up. Therefore I've ended up with these shoes sitting around in my room, with me, looking at them undecided and trying them on with outfits to see how they look. As of yet, these tiny heels are yet to see the great outdoors.
What do you think? Do these £1 shoes deserve a first hurrah?

First time blogging (Take two)

I had a Blog about three years ago called Hannah Bannana. At the time I thought this was a fantastic idea...now I see the error of my ways -Cringe-. So upon stumbling on my cringe worthy blog i decided to start a real Blog about the real me, no bull s**t allowed.
I really shouldn't be doing this now due to an incredible amount of neglected uni work but it's a good enough distraction to make me feel a bit better about the 1000 word proposal I'm supposed to be doing.
Anyway I guess your supposed to write something of actual interest on here. The only thing i can think about to say is the terrible weekend i had. As well as being ill for the last two weeks and not being able to talk for half of that due to a bad throat infection i think I've messed up a friendship that i really shouldn't have. I find it hard to make friends, no idea why. I'm probably just too picky or there's a cucumber hanging out my nose or something and i never notice. Anyway this weekend i think i messed up a friendship, over another friendship. UGH boys! not boys as in boyfriend boys...i have one of those and i love him to pieces but actual BOYS. I seem to make more guy friends than girls and this weekend two of my guyfriends made a huge mistake and treated a situation in the total opposite way in which they should. They made matters a hundred time worse making me look a hundred times worse and resulting in a grown man trying to punch me in the face...fun times ;)
Anyway, i should probably go now and finish all of this work thats in this week to be marked. I shall letyou know if i talk to my guy friends any time soon...but you know guys, they're too stubborn to admit they were wrong. For now, adiĆ³s.
